Chris Cox

President

Chris is widely regarded as one of the most successful strategists in Washington, marrying legislative tactics to navigate Capitol Hill with cutting edge communications strategies to move public opinion. Today, he helps Fortune 500 companies and the C-suite leaders of emerging brands position their companies for success – and fend off legislative threats. For 18 years, Chris was the legislative field general for the gun rights movement, an effort that saw a nearly 100 percent success rate in the halls of Congress and in most state legislatures.

Away from politics, Chris founded an effort to enlist leading cultural brands and talents in the country music industry to promote a wholesome American lifestyle that includes a legacy of responsible gun ownership. Chris has appeared on a variety of national news programs, including Fox News Sunday, Fox & Friends, Tucker Carlson Tonight, Hannity, The Kelly File with Megyn Kelly, This Week with George Stephanopoulos, CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS, to name a few. He has been published in The New York Times, the Washington Post, and other publications and was a primetime speaker during the 2016 Republican National Convention.

Chris got his start in Washington in the 1990s as a senior legislative aide to a veteran congressman, managing issues relating to the judicial system and criminal justice reform. He is a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis. A Tennessee native, Chris resides in Virginia with his family.

Phil Hoon

Vice President

Phil serves as Vice-President of Capitol 6 Advisors. He advises a diverse group of clients, ranging from leading outdoor brands and school safety programs to renewable energy startups.

Phil began his D.C. career in the political campaign office of then-U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. In what was considered to be one of the most tightly contested Senate campaigns in the country, Phil worked closely with the finance, political and external governmental offices in Senator Reid’s successful re-election effort. Following the campaign, he served as the Senior Director of Corporate Relations at the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation. For nearly a decade he managed the Foundation’s sponsorships, which included corporate, foundation and individual contributors both in and out of the outdoor space.

Phil is a graduate of Lynchburg College with a B.A. in American History and Communications. He lives with his family in Annapolis, MD.

Stephanie Gadbois

Vice President of Government Affairs

Stephanie serves as Vice President of Government Affairs for Capitol 6 Advisors. She brings more than two decades of senior-level Capitol Hill experience and draws on her deep and broad-ranging policy and appropriations expertise to assist clients in navigating federal legislative and regulatory matters.

Most recently, Stephanie served as the Staff Director and Majority Clerk for the Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies of the House Appropriations Committee, a position she held since 2019. Prior to this position, she served as Senior Counsel for the House Judiciary Committee from 2013 through 2019. Before joining the staff of the House Judiciary Committee, she served on the staff of various subcommittees of the House Appropriations Committee from 2008 through 2013, and had been a Counsel for the House Agriculture Committee dating back to 2001.

An Ohio native, Stephanie holds a B.A. in English from Kent State University and a J.D. from the University of Toledo. She is a member of the Virginia Bar and resides in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband.

Scott Christman

Vice President

Scott Christman serves as Vice President for Capitol 6 Advisors. In that capacity, he helps develop and manage coalition initiatives and programs; reviews relevant political, legislative and public policy information related to clients’ industries; and provides public affairs, fundraising, government relations and grassroots communications advice.

Scott is a government relations and public policy professional with more than two decades in federal and state government relations, grassroots advocacy, public affairs/crisis communications and non-profit association management. He is a proven operations executive with over 20 years of experience managing high-profile and fast-paced organizations. Prior to joining Capitol 6 Advisors, Scott served as Chief of Staff for one of the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organizations. In that role, he oversaw a staff of over 100 and managed a $65 million budget as well as strategic initiatives, programs, workflow improvement and communications.

Scott Christman is a graduate of The American University. He lives with his family in northern Virginia.

Kristin Clarkson

Vice President

Kristin serves as Vice President for Capitol 6 Advisors. She brings more than 15 years of Capitol Hill experience and draws on her deep and broad-ranging policy and appropriations expertise to assist clients in navigating federal legislative and regulatory matters.

Most recently, Clarkson served as Staff Director and Majority Clerk for the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior and Environment, where she managed $40 billion in annual spending across the Department of the Interior, Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Forest Service, and other agencies. In that role, she guided funding decisions on programs ranging from oil and gas development and conservation initiatives to infrastructure improvements and the development of chemicals and pesticides.

Clarkson also served as Professional Staff with the Subcommittees on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies and Homeland Security. In those roles, she oversaw more than $50 billion in annual federal spending for agencies such as NASA, NOAA, the National Science Foundation, and FEMA. Across her tenure at the House Appropriations Committee, she worked closely with Member offices and municipalities on Congressional earmarks, shepherding more than $1 billion annually from inception to enactment.

Kristin has also served in the Director’s Office at the National Gallery of Art and for former Congressman Robert Hurt (VA-05). Raised in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, she earned a B.A. in History from Auburn University and a master’s degree from George Washington University. Kristin now resides in Arlington, Virginia, with her family.

Chasen Bullock

Political Director

Chasen serves as Political Director for Capitol 6 Advisors. When business and politics intermingle, he is the strategist you want in your corner.

Chasen has served in senior leadership roles on presidential, gubernatorial, senate, congressional and state legislative campaigns. He has also worked for both the National Republican Congressional Committee and the Congressional Leadership Fund, which are the primary groups dedicated to electing Republicans to United States Congress. Additionally, he has worked in the United States Congress for the Committee on Small Business.

Chasen has also developed and executed advocacy efforts for nonprofits seeking to make a change – whether that entails publishing op-eds, paid media efforts, or building a grassroots following.

Chasen got his start in politics in San Diego, California where he learned the nuts and bolts of campaigns. He now lives in Virginia with his family.

Emily Collins

Creative Director

Emily serves as Creative Director for Capitol 6 Advisors. With experience across campaigns, agencies, and trade associations, she brings visions to life and collaborates closely with clients to deliver compelling and sharp creative.

Previously, Emily served as Creative Director at the NRSC and as a designer on President Trump’s 2020 campaign. She’s also managed rebrands and developed marketing and event collateral for national associations and private-sector clients.

Emily graduated from Texas Christian University, where she studied Political Science and Spanish. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, she now lives in Washington, DC, where she finds inspiration in music, travel, and painting.
